The Tuck Tab box has long been the staple of the retail software packaging industry. Standard sizes are in the area of 8 x 10 x 2" and the newer power box which is about half the size at 8 x 5.5. x 2" with an outer fifth panel. The outer Fifth Panel provides for additional real estate for graphics, product description, and touch and feel. If an outer fifth panel is present, the product can not be shrink wrapped. Instead, two wafer seals are used (top and bottom) to seal the package and prevent retail theft. A velcro button / tab can be added on the open side of the fifth panel to hold it closed while on the shelf. (See Velcro Tab)
