KITTING AND ASSEMBLY

Kitting is the process of taking all of your manufactured components, i.e. Disc, Printed matters, package, and putting it together and shrink wrapping it.

While most of the assemlby process at Freedom Disc is done by robotic machinery, there are many jobs that are hand assemlbed due to complexity, and, for purposes of quality control.

Freedom Disc firmly believes in hand assembly of product for the simple reason that each piece then becomes visually inspected by human eyes. It makes for tighter quality control on many different levels instead of relying on a machine which typically employs only a quantitative method of quality control.

Plus, in order to put more people to work, Freedom disc tries to use humans as much as possible in the assembly phase of the operation to provide a living for many of our local families.

Shrink wrap is optional, depending on the product, and in some cases a clear wafer seal is all that is needed to finish off the product. We employ both robotic and manual shrink wrap and tabbing/wafer sealing systems.
